Jewellery ads on Instagram: 7 angles that sell
By the QuickScaled team · · 2 min read
Jewellery is one of the most visual categories on Instagram, and one of the most crowded. A beautiful product shot isn't enough when every brand has one. What makes someone stop and buy is a reason: who it's for, when they'll wear it and why now. These seven angles give your ads that reason.
1. Gifting
Most fine and demi-fine jewellery is bought as a gift at some point. Speak to the buyer, not the wearer: "Her birthday gift, sorted." Show the packaging, the moment it's opened and delivery timing.
2. Everyday luxury
For silver and demi-fine brands, the strongest angle is often wearability. Show the same piece at the office, at dinner and at the gym. "925 silver you'll wear every single day."
3. Festive and wedding season
Navratri, Diwali, Akshaya Tritiya and the November to February wedding season drive a large share of jewellery sales in India. Plan these ads weeks ahead, so they're tested and ready before the rush and before ad costs climb.
4. The close-up
A slow, tight shot of the stone setting, the clasp or the polish shows quality better than any copy. This is where you should film or photograph the real piece, because AI tends to change small details.
5. Styling
"Three ways to wear one chain" or "how to stack rings" ads teach something and sell at the same time. They work well as carousels and short Reels.
6. Trust and proof
Buying jewellery online needs trust. Show hallmarking, certificates, return policies and real customer reviews. Purity claims must match the piece's BIS hallmarking, so only state what your product can prove.
7. Price and value
For fashion and demi-fine brands, price can be the hook: a set under a certain amount, a bundle or a festive offer. Keep the product hero and put the price in the first seconds.
How to test these angles
- Pick your best-selling piece.
- Make one ad for each of three or four angles.
- Run them side by side and see which angle brings purchases at the best cost.
- Make new versions of the winning angle with different opening seconds and formats.
We make these ads for jewellery brands every week. See what we do for jewellery brands, or browse our work.
